How it all started
In 2009, my wife April and I had been slowly growing our YouTube channels to 35K followers and making some nice side income to supplement our day jobs.
One day, April ran into the bedroom, waving an email from a well-known brand asking our rates for a collaboration!
Rates? We were confused. We were used to just getting a bunch of free products in exchange for posts.
This brand actually wanted to PAY us to talk about them on social media.
That moment changed everything. We realized:
